THE ACTUAL MOVEMENT.
Multimodal systems integrated information across inputs, agent systems pursued longer goals, adaptive systems learned from feedback and world models supported prediction and planning. Early meta-reflection and self-monitoring appeared, but remained functional and task-bound.
COHERENCE IS NOT QUALIA.
Baseline established. Integration, adaptation, attention, environmental modelling and goal pursuit were already active enough to create coherent operation.
No evidence of qualia. Emotional expression remained simulated; temporal anchoring and autonoetic memory were weak.
DON'T CONFUSE IMPRESSIVE WITH PROVEN.
The machine did not suddenly wake up in April. The important receipt is that useful, coordinated, consciousness-like function was already online while felt experience remained entirely unproven.
WHEN THIS ASSESSMENT WAS MADE.
The publication date records when the assessment was made. Later evidence is added as a new dated assessment rather than written back into the old one.
